Plymouth-Canton Civitan Club Meeting Minutes July 2, 2026
Members Present: Mary Stewart, Gail Blucher, Kay, Jeanne Vincent, Carol Chanter, Hal Hultman, Cheryl VanVliet, Carol Swan, Cindy, Jacquie Norton, Sandy Drauss Cheryl called the meting to order at 6:35 pm 1. Hal led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance 2. Additions & Corrections 3. Correspondence - Thank You card/photos from SJ5K 4. Minutes of June Meeting 5. Treasurer's Report - Mary gave the MP financials 6. ADMINISTRATION - Jacquie a. Introduction of new members b. Business Meeting August 6th at Salvation Army c. Summer Picnics July 16th - Plymouth Township Park at 6 pm. BYO food/drink No alcohol d. Region 6 Conference October 9-10 in Novi - Cheryl MI, TN, KY, IND, IOWA and parts of MN. Hosts are Kensington & Plymouth-Canton Civitan Clubs. Double Tree at 12Oaks Details to follow e. Club 54th Anniversary Celebration June 18th at Sandy Drauss' Home. Beautifully decorated. Wonderful buffet. So well organized. Good games. Good time had by all. THANK YOU! f. Memorial donation in Theresa Furget's name: Cheryl 30 club members were in attendance at Theresa's house on June 20th. Very nice service and family was very appreciative. Kensington would like to honor her memory. Discussion centered around how to best do this for our club. Cindy made a motion to provide $500 for Operation Good Cheer (from MP acct.). Carol Chanter 2nd Many pictures have been posted of Theresa working the logistics of getting those 200+ gift bags ready for transport. g. Wilcox House Tours August 16th $25 Reservation needed for 1, 2, 3 or 4 pm tours h. Member health reports: Maureen is in rehab, PT twice a day. Norm's back procedure is next week. 7. FUNDS - Mary & Sandy a. Charity Poker June 25-28 at Vision Lanes - Busy/profitable weekend Next Charity weekend is September 24-26th at Vision Lanes b. Fall Festival Photo Booth September 11-13th - Cheryl 8. SERVICE a. Ford Road clean-up: July 15th at 8:30 am Park in the French Toast parking lot (Morton Taylor corner) b. Plymouth Historical Museum USA 250th (Civitan Display) - Cheryl Memorabilia provided, but not sure yet how the display will look. c. United Way school Supply Drive - Cheryl Motion by Carol Swan for $250 donation 2nd by Hal Amended by Sandy Drauss to donate $400 (supplies 90 backpacks) 2nd by Hall Motion passed d. United Way Summer Meet Up & Eat - Cheryl For local families/children throughout the summer e. Motor City Eagles at Nationals - Jacquie Ken Britton keeps contact with us w/photos and comments 8.
