                                                     Plymouth-Canton Civitan Club Business Meeting Minutes       June 4, 2026


Member Present:  Jeanne Vincent, Pam DiBenette, Sandy Drauss, Jillian Drauss, Mary Stewart, Gail Blucher, Karen Kenniburg, Carol Chanter, Gary Turnquist, Kathy Turnquist, Maggie Hamada, Norm Hamada, Maureen Posler, Jacquie Norton​

 Maureen called the meeting to order at 6:37 pm.
    1. Gary led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance
    2. Additions & Corrections  Gary added h) under Administration - Website and b) under Service - Camp   Civitan
    3. Correspondence - Kathy
    4. Introductions of New Members - Pam, Jeanne and Jillian
    5. Minutes of May Meeting - Gary made a motion to accept. Carol Chanter 2nd
    6. Treasurer's Reports: Kathy presented financials. Mary presented M.P. account financials (one  outstanding check from March 5th - Plymouth-Canton Educational Foundation for $200.00). Gary made a         motion to accept. Maggie Hamada  2nd it.

    7. ADMINISTRATION: Jacquie
        a. Mary did a recap of the Recruitment/Dinner Meeting at King's Mill on May 21. 5 new members
        b. There will be a business meeting at the Salvation Army on July 2nd
        c. Kathy and Gary gave a recap of the Plymouth Showcase held on May 4th. Our co-honorees were
            Mary Stewart and Sandy Drauss
        d. 54th Anniversary Celebration dinner to be held on Thursday, June 18th at the home of Sandy Drauss.
            6 pm Carol Chanter will coordinate. Food sign-up list was generated. Patriotic color theme - wear your   colors. Game(s) - yet to be determined.
        e. Kathy gave details of the summer dinner meetings at the Plymouth Township Park, 7/16 and 8/20 
        f.  Civitan International Walk & Roll for CIRC donation. Kathy said the donation was $500. Event will
            take place at the International Convention in Louisville, KY - July 19-22, 2026.
        g. Member health reports: Vivian was able to go to dinner on Wednesday, Maureen was Presidential.
                Theresa's celebration of life will be at her home on June 20th - 1 to 8 pm  BBQ  Bring a chair.
                Bring any pictures you might have to share. Forever in our hearts. Theresa .....
        h.  Website - Gary questions if we need to keep it. It takes a little time to update the club activities -   perhaps someone would like to take it over ???

    8.  FUNDS: Mary & Sandy 
        a. Charity Poker - June 25-28 at Vision Lanes on Ford Road. Mary currently has a full sign-up sheet.
        b. Fall Festival - September 10 - 13.  New photo product to be added - 8 x 10. Discussion followed on how to protect it (file folder, zip lock plastic, etc .... )


    9.  SERVICE: Gary
         a. Ford Road clean-up.  Wednesday, July 15 - 8:30 am 
         b. Camp Civitan in session (as we meet). 63-65 campers. Theme this year - Christmas!
         c. Last minute recap of the outing to see the Motor City Power Soccer athletes practice on May 23rd. 


   10. ADJOURN MEETING:  Motion by Gary. Mary 2nd it.   7:37 pm
